Police say 2 men tried to steal toys from charity

ATLANTA -- Atlanta police say they arrested two suspects accused of trying to steal toys intended for needy families.

Sgt. Curtis Davenport says police were called to the nonprofit Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless around 10:30 a.m. Sunday after an employee said he could hear the suspects inside the building near a hole that had been cut in the door.

Police said officers spotted one suspect through the hole as they say he was trying to shove a bag of toys out of the building.

Police say they found another man hiding between some crates near the hole in the wall.

Police say Navada Jackson and Desmond Sigers were arrested and face burglary charges. Jail records do not indicate whether either man has an attorney in the case.
