ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks plan to cover the tolls drivers normally pay on Georgia 400 during Tuesday morning's rush hour.
The team said in a statement it will pay the 50-cent tolls from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday to promote the return of NBA basketball after a labor agreement was reached, ending a lockout.
Former Hawk Dominique Wilkins and mascot Harry the Hawk and the Hawks cheerleaders will be at the toll plaza Tuesday morning.
The Hawks start their home schedule with a preseason game against the Charlotte Bobcats on Dec. 22. The regular season begins at home on Dec. 28 against the Washington Wizards.
