NORCROSS -- A pedestrian walking on Britt Road near Jimmy Carter Boulevard was struck by a car and killed early Friday morning, police said.
The incident happened at about 5 a.m. Friday and was reported by the driver of the vehicle, Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Accident investigators interviewed the driver in attempts to determine the cause of the accident. Initial indications were that the driver was not at fault.
The victim was not identified Friday.
