Stone Mountain Holiday Inn celebrates renovations

STONE MOUNTAIN -- A ribbon cutting ceremony has been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn Express located at Stone Mountain to celebrate recently completed multi-million dollar renovations.

Located at 1790 E. Park Place, Blvd., the Holiday Inn Express is a subsidiary of Intercontinental Hotels Group. The hotel chain offers a free loyalty program called Priority Club Rewards, which encourages guests to collect points by staying at its Holiday Inn Express hotels.

Thursday's ribbon cutting ceremony will be performed by owners Raman Patel and Vipul Patel, Stone Mountain Mayor Patricia Wheeler, Evermore CID Executive Director Jim Brooks, Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Lisa Anders, Brittany Gray with the Georgia Department of Tourism and John Strickland, south precinct commander with Gwinnett County Police.
