SNELLVILLE -- Led by 17 points from Kayla Rogers, Archer took down Brookwood 58-53 on Monday.
Rogers hit five 3-pointers and Madison Newby added 14 points, six steals and four assists for the Tigers (5-3, 3-2 Region 8-AAAAA). Brookwood's Courtney Gardner led all scorers with 18 points.
Parkview 66, Berkmar 25
LILBURN -- Genesis Perrymond led a balanced Parkview attack with a team-high 11 points in the Panthers 66-25 win over Berkmar.
Vicky Harris followed Perrymond with eight points for the Panthers (9-0, 5-0 Region 8-AAAAA).
Shiloh 51, Grayson 41
SNELLVILLE -- Racquel Cranston scored 15 and Bria Ratliff added 12 in Shiloh's 51-41 win over Grayson. Daja Bandy scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds and Sadie Caudell added eight points and five rebounds for Grayson (0-5, 0-4).
Central Gwinnett 47, South Gwinnett 37
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Taja Latimore scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked six shots in Central Gwinnett's 47-37 win over South Gwinnett.
Nia Hardy added 15 points and Alexandra Frazier chipped in nine for the Black Knights (2-5, 2-2 Region 8-AAAAA).
Lanier 60, Oglethorpe Co. 33
LEXINGTON -- Shelby Threlkeld scored 22 points and Tamar Osborne added 14 as Lanier dominated Oglethorpe Co. 60-33.
Melanie Galvez added 10 for the Longhorns, whose defense didn't allow a double-figure scorer for Oglethorpe.
Archer 60, Brookwood 54
SNELLVILLE -- Randall Smith scored 14 and Bryan Hamlet added 10 for Archer in the Tigers' 60-54 win over Brookwood.
The Tigers overcame two double-doubles by Khalil Adbullah (16 points, 15 rebounds) and Bilao Adbullah (10 points, 11 rebounds) and a game-high 18 points from Malcolm Hannah for Brookwood (2-6).
Central Gwinnett 59, South Gwinnett 56
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Darius Joell scored 20 points and Brian Egejuru added 11 in Central Gwinnett's (5-2, 3-10) 59-56 win over South Gwinnett.
Qiydar Davis scored a game-high 22 points and Kyle Wright chipped in 10 for the Comets.
Berkmar 71, Parkview 59
LILBURN -- Brandon Thompson scored 23 and Tim Rowe added 17 as Berkmar took down Parkview 71-59.
Buford 74, Clarkston 52
CLARKSTON -- Isaiah Williams scored 22 points and T.J. Shipes added 19 as Buford beat Clarkston 74-52.
Brookwood wins own tourney
SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood's wrestling team won its third tournament of the season on Saturday, scoring 139 points to win the Brookwood Invitational.
The Broncos had seven placers to beat out second-placed Loganville's 120 points. Shiloh was seventh and Parkview was ninth and Mountain View was 11th in the 20-team tournament.
Terrell Anderson (220 pounds) was Brookwood's only champion, while Drew McCorkle (113), Wyatt Jozwowski (120), Troy Long (132) and Stephen Solamon (160) were runner-up. Gordon Lopez (145) and (152) placed fourth.
Archer wins Super Duals
LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Archer wrestling team won the Takedown Sportswear Super Duals at Archer on Saturday.
Archer won the 10-team tournament by defeating West Forsyth 67-0, Oak Mtn. (Ala.) 48-20, Roswell 45-21, Hillgrove 61-0, and Bradley Central (Tenn.) in the championship match 43-26.
Sam Bullard, DaQuan Olbert, Brandon Weber, Zach Wright, and Hunter McCleskey all went undefeated for the Tigers. Archer is 19-1 with three tournament championships this season.
The Archer JV team won the 21-team Fernando's Duals at Dacula on Saturday and is now 15-0 this season.
Wesleyan places 10th at Raider Rumble
ALPHARETTA -- The Wesleyan wrestling team finished in 10th place at the Alpharetta Raider Rumble on Saturday. Rhett Delk won the 170-pound weight class and John McCleskey placed fifth at 152.
Lions win Clody titles
Peachtree Ridge swimmers won two events at this past weekend's Clody Memorial Invitational in swimming and diving. Drew Wescoat won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.93 seconds and Julia Jacobi was first in the girls 50 free at 25.77.
Salyers breaks record in Wesleyan win
Wesleyan's Nick Salyers broke the school record in the 200 individual medley this past weekend with a time of 1:56.26 as the Wolves won a quad meet in boys swimming and diving. Salyers also won the 100 backstroke in 52.74.
Wesleyan had 297 boys points to finish ahead of Alpharetta (236), Lambert (209) and Johns Creek (209). The Wesleyan girls had 231 points to finish second behind Lambert's 309.
The Wolves also got first-place finishes from Timothy Marsh (200 free, 1:52.98 and 100 free, 49.34), Anthony McMurry (50 free, 21.49), Taylor Panther (diving, 186.30) and Carrie Ciccotello (100 back, 1:05.45).
