DULUTH -- Police on Friday identified a man found fatally stabbed in a commercial area this week as Kwang Ko, 32, of Duluth.
About 7 a.m. Thursday, a Bank of America patron using an ATM spotted the injured Ko in an Aldi parking lot at 2618 Pleasant Hill Road and called police. No information on suspects or a motive has been released.
Ko was bleeding heavily but was able to speak when EMS personnel arrived, Duluth police spokesman Maj. Don Woodruff said. He died shortly after being transported from the scene.
Investigators were busy Thursday afternoon pulling surveillance footage from other businesses and gathering information from witnesses. The Aldi was closed at the time.
Authorities said the killing is incorporated Duluth's first in about 18 months.
Police urge witnesses or anyone who may have information on the killing to call the Duluth Police Department at 770-476-4151 and ask for Capt. Mark Hunter.
