DULUTH -- The Touchdown Club of Gwinnett held its season-ending awards banquet Thursday night at the Gwinnett Place Marriott.
More than 100 high school football players received some sort of award at the annual event, which drew nearly 600 people in one of the hotel's banquet rooms.
Of the 10 top individual awards, Buford players won three -- Gwinnett tight end of the year Kurt Freitag, offensive lineman of the year Vadal Alexander and linebacker of the year Dillon Lee.
North Gwinnett had two individual award winners in quarterback of the year Scotty Hosch and defensive lineman of the year Justin Alabi.
Grayson's Robert Nkemdiche was athlete of the year, Brookwood's Nick Tompkins was running back of the year, Collins Hill's Nick England was wide receiver of the year, Norcross' Anthony Autry was defensive back of the year and Duluth's Myles Campbell was specialist of the year.
