DULUTH -- To meet the demands of the holidays, the Boggs Road Postal Store is extending its weekend hours.
Each weekend leading up to Christmas, the Postal Store at 1605 Boggs Road will have longer Saturday hours and will be open each Sunday to help customers get their gifts and cards in the mail in time for the holidays. Michael Miles, communications manager with the Atlanta District of the U.S. Postal Service, said the extended hours are "all about being convenient for the customers." "Christmas is the busiest time of the year, and in many cases some of our customers don't find they're able to get there until the weekends," Miles said. Miles said mail volume goes up anywhere from 25 to 40 percent during the holidays. He added that the Boggs Road store is the only location in the county that will have extended hours. The post office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays leading up to Christmas day. The Boggs Road Postal Store is a full-service post office that offers shipping supplies, packaging materials and holiday greeting cards. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.More like this story
