Heather Mairn

Heather Mairn

Heather Lea Shein Mairn, our beloved daughter, wife, mother, and Grammie left this world on December 2nd surrounded by the people she loved most…her family. Her spirit inspired and impacted each and every person she touched and to those that knew her best, could see no limit to her heart. Heather was born on February 13, 1958 to Robert and Maureen Shein, in Highland Falls, New York and was soon joined by her brother Kirk. As an Air Force family, the foursome went on many adventures traveling throughout Europe and the United States. Her love of the ocean began when her father retired from the service and settled in Seminole, Florida. It was there, at Seminole High School, where she first met Timothy Mairn, her future husband and love of her life. Together they walked hand in hand through all of life’s trials and blessings, including the birth of their cherished children, Christopher Andrew and Jennifer Suzanne and then their grandbabies Katherine, Mairn, Eva and Jackson. The love for her babies and grandbabies radiated through every smile, hug and quiet conversation in Heather’s life. This love was as unique as this angel walking among us. Her gift of enthusiasm, courage and genuine joy will continue through each life she touched. Heather is lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Timothy J. Mairn; her son, Christopher A. Mairn(Teresa); her daughter, Jennifer S. Hammes (Roman); her grandbabies, Katherine Hope, Mairn Elise, Eva Grace, and Jackson Perry; her parents, Robert and Maureen Shein; her brother, Kirk F. Shein (Megan), her nieces; Elizabeth Shein, Julie Staub, Jill Mairn, Shelley Mairn, Beth Hardin; and nephews Cameron Shein, Matthew Mairn, Todd Mairn, Tim Mairn, Chad Mairn, Scott Mairn, Jeffrey Mairn, Greg Hardin, John Hardin; Aunts, Sue Badger, Elizabeth Perry, and Judy Duffy; Uncle, Irving Shein, and many more loving family members. A vigil service at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia on Friday, December 9th from 5-8pm, and the Celebration of Life service at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch on Saturday, December 10th at 10am. Memorial donations may be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta or the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. “If there’s ever an answer...its more love...I can hear our hearts crying...more love...I know that’s what we need.” To express condolences, please sign our online guest book at www.flaniganfuneralhome.com.
