LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Gwinnett Braves have teamed up with Venture Sport Shows to host their 13th annual Toys for Tots drive. The event will be Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Coolray Field and will bring together athletes and celebrities from the local area in support of a toy drive to benefit the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
Hall of Famer Phil Niekro and former Atlanta Braves outfielder Otis Nixon highlight the list of former Major Leaguers scheduled to appear, while L.V. Ware (Braves), Brandon Jacobs (Boston Red Sox) and Hunter Morris (Milwaukee Brewers) headline a group of top Minor League prospects that will also attend.
Also scheduled to appear are former Atlanta Falcon William Andrews, former Harlem Globetrotter Harold "Bo Bo" Hubbard and WCW Professional Wrestler Rocky King.
Fans will have an opportunity to receive an autograph from the athletes by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the drive.
