SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett defensive end Justin Alabi will play his college football in the Division I-AA Southern Conference next season after giving a verbal commitment to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior chose the Moccasins over interest from several other programs, including the U.S. Air Force Academy, following a visit to the UTC campus last weekend. Alabi has been selected to the upcoming Rivalries of Gwinnett All-Star game after finishing among the county's sack leaders with 12 as part of his 65 combined tackles and assists for a North defense that allowed just 10.8 points per game during a 10-2 season.More like this story
