NPR's 'Mountain Stage' to return to Athens

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — The nationally broadcast public radio show "Mountain Stage" will return to Athens early next year.

Tickets go on sale Monday for the Feb. 19 show featuring Athens performer Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, as well as Faroese singer-songwriter Teitur.

It will also feature composer, producer and musician Van Dyke Parks. More guests will be announced in coming weeks.

The show is at 7 p.m. in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall.

The Charleston, W. Va.-based show is the longest running two-hour live performance radio program of its kind. Each week it features four to five guest artists.
