NORCROSS -- Police are asking for public assistance in identifying a burglar who caused significant damages to a small business on Buford Highway in Norcross early Saturday morning.
The suspect caused several hundred dollars in damages to Mercy African Grocery and stole the business' cash register, which contained a small amount of cash, said Norcross police Sgt. Bill Grogan.
Police arrived to find a rock in the business and a large front window smashed, according to a police report.
Grogan described the suspect as a white male, captured on surveillance video wearing a Nautica jacket, light-colored blue jeans and white shoes.
Police urge anyone with information to call the Norcross Police Department tip line at 770-448-6457, or to call the department directly at 770-448-2111.
