NORCROSS -- City leaders Monday voted to adopt $24 million annual budget for 2012. According to City Manager Rudolph Smith, staff department heads worked diligently to reach a balanced budget with no employee cutbacks and no decreases in city services.
"I'd like to commend the staff. It's been tough, but it's working," Smith said. The budget will go into effect Jan. 1.Changes made to filming operations ordinanceCommunity Development Director Chris McCrary recommended to city council members Monday that the city's filming operations ordinance be revised in order to make the commercial filming process easier for potential filmmakers. A more streamlined process, said McCrary, would help Norcross compete with other cities garnering such projects.
The ordinance amendment shortened and streamlined the filming application process.
