Logan Adams added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Comets, who improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the region. Eddie Harris added 16 points, T. J. Thomas had 14 and Kyle Wright had 12 as South put five players in double-figures. Andre Chatfield led the way for Parkview with 13 points.
Greater Atlanta Christian 91, Lovett 50
ATLANTA -- Delano Spencer scored a game-high 23 points to lead Greater Atlanta Christian to a 91-50 rout of Lovett. Cole Hobbs poured in 20 points while Colin Swinton added 11 points and Andrew Lewis had 10 for the Spartans (2-2). Drew Hart and Cyrus Wilson each had 10 points for the Lions.
Central Gwinnett 61, Brookwood 48
SNELLVILLE -- Darius Joell had 17 points and Justin Mouton added 13 as Central Gwinnett got past Brookwood 61-48 in Region 8-AAAAA. Slim Delbridge added 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Black Knights (3-1, 1-0).
Archer 58, Dacula 54
DACULA -- Tramique Anderson had 17 points and Randall Smith chipped in 13 to lead Archer to a 58-54 win over Dacula in Region 8-AAAAA action. Bryan Hamlet added 12 points for the Tigers (2-2,1-0). Xavier Okoro led Dacula (2-2, 0-1) with a game-high 25 points and Brandon Goodson had 11.
Shaw 55, Meadowcreek 46
NORCROSS -- Meadowcreek dropped a 55-46 decision to Shaw as the Mustangs tipped off the season. Devonte Carter led Meadowcreek with 13 points and Jonathan Jones had 10. Anthony Hall added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Mustangs.
Loganville 50, Apalachee 42
LOGANVILLE -- Despite Cameron Blakley's 18 points and five blocked shots, Apalachee (1-1) dropped a 50-42 decision to Loganville. TyKein Dixson led Loganville (2-0) with 10 points.

LILBURN -- Nate Bucher scored a game-high 20 points to lead Providence Christian Academy to a 60-43 win over Hapeville Charter. Charlie Scott added 12 points and Steven Kleinschmidt had 10 to lead Providence (2-3).

SNELLVILLE -- Marissa Mandeldove led the way for Parkview with 10 points as the Panthers knocked off South Gwinnett 41-31 in the Region 8-AAAAA opener for both teams. Makenna Pouengue and Erika Joseph each added eight points for Parkview (5-0, 1-0). Yvonna Dunkley led South (2-3, 0-1) with nine points while Tiffany Jenkins chipped in five.

DACULA -- Madison Newby had a game-high 16 points to lead Archer to a 55-39 win over Dacula in Region 8-AAAAA action. Danicka Brown and Kayla Rogers each had nine points for Archer (3-1, 1-0) while Alesha Mann had eight points and seven rebounds for the Tigers. Anna Machovec led Dacula (1-3, 0-1) with 10 points.

SNELLVILLE -- Courtney Gardner poured in 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Brookwood knocked off Central Gwinnett 56-53 in Region 8-AAAAA. Rebecca Walker added 15 points, seven steals and seven blocked shots for Brookwood (2-4, 1-0) and Colin Fite grabbed 12 rebounds. Taja Latimore led Central with 16 points and Devonna Glover chipped in 10 points as the Black Knights dropped their region opener.
Meadowcreek 57, Shaw 50
NORCROSS -- Angel Alexander had 22 points and five rebounds to lead Meadowcreek to a 57-50 win over Shaw. Freddie Banks added 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Mustangs (1-1). Cierah Toney led Shaw with a game-high 24 points.

DULUTH -- A cold-shooting second quarter cost Duluth as the Wildcats fell 68-56 to North Cobb (5-0) in a non-region battle of undefeated teams. Joi Jones led Duluth (4-1) with 21 points while Katie Powell added 18 and Tajai Pearson had 10.
Berkmar 54, Shiloh 40
LILBURN -- Daijah Cooke had 24 points and five steals as Berkmar rolled to 54-40 win over Shiloh in Region 8-AAAAA. Nina Williams had 12 points and Jazmine Green had 12 points and nine rebounds for Berkmar (1-0, 1-0). Bria Ratliff led Shiloh (0-2, 0-1) with nine points.
