Gwinnett Daily Post
The Gwinnett Gladiators signed forward Aaron Bendickson, who had 26 points in 30 games for them last season, on Thursday.
Bendickson was suspended by Gwinnett on Jan. 14 when he was required to return to the University of Wisconsin to finish his degree within the time frame of his athletic scholarship. By suspending him, the Gladiators retained his ECHL rights. When he left, Bendickson shared second in scoring for Gwinnett and was selected to represent the team in the All-Star Game.
While at Wisconsin, Bendickson skated with the Badgers for four years and earned 40 points in 147 games.
Bendickson was being flown to Florida so he could be with the Gladiators as they prepare to play the Everblades tonight and Saturday.
