Georgia Tech basketball fans in Gwinnett County will have plenty of opportunities to see their teams this season, thanks to construction to the Yellow Jackets' on-campus arena.
The school announced Wednesday that five non-conference women's games will be played at the Arena at Gwinnett Center, joining the five previously announced men's non-conference games planned for the Duluth venue.
Both the men's and women's teams will open their seasons in Gwinnett on Friday, Nov. 11, with a doubleheader that begins with the women playing Alabama State. The nightcap will feature the Tech men vs. Florida A&M.
The Tech women also will play their ACC/Big Ten Challenge game in Gwinnett, a Nov. 30 matchup with Nebraska.
The Tech men also have games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center vs. Delaware State (Nov. 14), Siena (Nov. 23), Alabama A&M (Dec. 19) and Mercer (Dec. 22). Tech's home ACC men's games will be played at Philips Arena.
The other Tech women's games planned for Gwinnett are Old Dominion (Nov. 13), Kennesaw State (Nov. 22) and North Carolina A&T (Dec. 29). The Yellow Jackets haven't announced the conference portion of their women's schedule yet.
