SUGAR HILL -- Beginning next month, the city of Sugar Hill will offer a series of weekly educational seminars for residents who are approaching retirement and may need Medicare.
"Medicare 101" classes will begin Sept. 13 at the Sugar Hill Community Center and be conducted every Tuesday through Oct. 25. Aimed at "providing vital information and materials about Medicare options" to enable residents to make educated health care decisions, the free sessions will start each Tuesday at 7 p.m.
A PowerPoint program will last approximately 30 minutes, with discussion and question-and-answer sessions to follow. Refreshments will be served.
According to a statement from the city of Sugar Hill, "the seminar is strictly educational and there will be no attempt to make sales during this event."
The Sugar Hill Community Center is located at 1166 Church St. For more information on this or other programs, visit www.cityofsugarhill.com or call 770-831-7413.
