Mr. Donald F. Yokeley, age 78, died in Duluth, GA, on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 27, 2011 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel. Entombment Peachtree Memorial Park. Born September 2, 1932, Lexington, NC. Donald served as a US Army Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in Fort Bragg, NC. He worked as a skilled electrician until retiring in 1998 and has been a member of the IBEW for 54 years. Donald was an active member of Yellow River Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sims Yokeley, his children, Sharon Yokeley Adams of Toccoa, GA, Randy Yokeley of Duluth, GA and Jennifer Yokeley Taylor of Snellville, GA Donald was a wonderful grandfather to seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Maxine Huffines Yokeley. He was also preceded in death by his wife of one year, Norma Bogus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Peachtree Christian Hospice or Gideon's International. The family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel 770-476-2535.
