LAWRENCEVILLE -- Two men have been charged after an alleged altercation at an elementary school registration day earlier this month.
According to warrants and police reports, Elmo Randolph Jr. of Stone Mountain and Anthony O. Brown of Hiram were "involved in a loud shouting match that resulted in a pushing and shoving incident" during the Aug. 4 registration day at Snellville's Annistown Elementary School.
Police said Randolph grabbed Brown "around the arms and chest with intent to harm" during the early morning incident in front of other parents and small children.
At least three Gwinnett County police units were dispatched to the scene, in addition to school police.
Both men -- who police said were acquaintances -- were charged with disrupting a public school, and Randolph faces an additional count of simple battery.
Arrest warrants were issued last week and online records show Randolph was booked into Gwinnett County Jail Tuesday.
