MARIETTA — Cobb County police are seeking the driver of a silver sports car they say was involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a motorcyclist dead.
Police say 31-year-old Emmanuel Mitchell of Norcross died after the black 1990 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle he was driving was struck on Interstate 75 by two vehicles.
Police say a 23-year-old woman told officers her Mazda 3 hit the motorcyclist after the driver of the sports initially struck the bike. The woman, who wasn't injured and doesn't face charges, said the other vehicle fled.
Police are looking for a newer model silver Porsche coupe with tinted windows with moderate damage to the left front of the car.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver is asked to call police.
