Collier -- Kennedy

Kelley and Betsy Collier of Bartow, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Kirsten Collier of St. Petersburg, Fla., to Adam Joseph Kennedy of St. Petersburg, Fla., son of Danny and Mary Ann Kennedy of Winder.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dorthy Krein of New Mexico and the late Robert Duff, the late Mary Ellen Duff and the late Robert Collier. She is a 2000 graduate of Bartow High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of South Florida, where she received a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed with St. Petersburg Children's Hospital.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Jack and Mary Kennedy and the late Joe and Lucile Sells. He is a 1998 graduate of Phoenix High School and a 2011 graduate of St. Petersburg College, where he received an associate degree in engineering technologies. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1998 to 2003.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 17 at the Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Fla.
