LILBURN -- Natalie deLatour pitched a five-hit shutout and also went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored to lead Greater Atlanta Christian to an 8-0 shutout over Providence on Thursday. Along with the complete-game victory, deLatour (2-1) struck out seven as GAC improved to 5-1 on the season. The Spartans pounded out 14 hits in the game -- all singles -- including a 4-for-4 effort from Brianna Stewart, who also drove in four runs. Celine Kelley went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for GAC. MacKenzie Tuttle led Providence (0-3) with a 2-for-3 day at the plate.
Berkmar 21, Columbia 9
LILBURN -- Queen Briggs went 3-for-4 with six RBI and three runs scored to lead Berkmar to 21-9 win over Columbia in four innings. Shandaja Gamble added a 2-for-4 day at the plate with two RBIs, while Jasmine White and Megaan Naraine had two hits each for Berkmar (2-1).
Collins Hill 3, Archer 2
HOSCHTON -- Kayla Floor struck out 10 and allowed just two runs on five hits as Collins Hill edged Archer 3-2 in the Hawk-Bulldog Tournament. Emily Buck went 3-for-3 as Collins Hill evened its record at 1-1 for the season. Kalli Star knocked in a pair of runs for the Eagles, while Allie Spell added a triple and an RBI. Alesha Mann went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI and Andria Booth was 1-for-3 with a run scored for Archer (6-3).
Grayson 8, West Jackson 3
HOSCHTON -- Pitcher Breanna Ethridge picked up the complete-game win and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two runs scored to lead Grayson to an 8-3 win over West Jackson in the Hawk-Bulldog Tournament. Shelby Smith and Niki Cook both went 1-for-3 for the Rams, who improved to 2-1 for the season.

DACULA - Hebron Christian Academy remained undefeated by rallying for a 7-6 win in eight innings over Athens Christian School in Region 8-A action. Lyndey McCurry picked up the win and improved to 3-0 for the Lions. Amanda Fischel got the game-winning single for Hebron as the Lions improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the region. Hebron trailed 6-2 heading to the bottom of the seventh inning, but the Lions tied it with four runs to send the game into extra innings.
North Gwinnett 17,
SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett ripped Gainesville pitching for 17 runs on 14 hits en route to the four-inning win. Winning pitcher Kinsley Jennings got the complete-game victory by tossing a two-hitter and striking out three. Jennings also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and a home run for the Bulldogs. Alaina Hall was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of stolen bases for North (2-1) while Moriah Strother was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
Peachtree Ridge wins two
DULUTH -- Peachtree Ridge got the 2011 season off to a great start with wins over Whitefield Academy 25-11, 25-18 and Central Gwinnett 25-8, 25-12. Lucy Riddle paced the Lions' attack with 10 aces, 16 assists and 14 kills. Kathleen Davis added 19 assists, while Becca Meyer had nine kills and Lauren Greene chipped in eight kills.

WINDER -- Hebron Christian Academy took two wins as the Lions defeated Winder-Barrow 25-12, 25-11 and Loganville 25-14, 26-24 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Eden Murray had 15 kills, while Savannah Blaylock had 16 assists and four aces for Hebron. Maddi Roof added nine kills for the Lions.
Buford stays undefeated
BUFORD -- Maggie Roper had 15 kills, 18 digs and four blocks to lead Buford over Pinecrest Academy 27-25, 25-15 and South Forsyth 20-25, 25-23, 25-20. Bailey Hicks added 17 assists, while Mikhayla Riegel had 20 digs for the Wolves. Jessica Falletta added 12 digs, eight aces and six kills as Buford moved to 4-0 on the season.Wesleyan takes pair from Parkview, Dunwoody
NORCROSS -- Wesleyan rolled to a 25-12, 25-14 over Parkview and then rallied to defeat Dunwoody 21-25, 25-16, 25-19. Anna Davis had 21 kills while Jennifer Miller added 23 digs for the Wolves, who improved to 4-0 for the season. Alana Broe also had 16 kills and six blocks for Wesleyan, while Callie Vivings had 51 assists and 15 digs. Parkview dropped its second match of the day by falling to Dunwoody 25-20, 25-20 to fall to 1-3.
GAC loses pair
to Harrison, St. Pius
KENNESAW -- Greater Atlanta Christian dropped two matches -- losing to host Harrison 26-28, 25-18, 25-21 and St. Pius 25-23, 25-23. Dede Bohannon led the way for GAC (2-2) with 26 kills and 24 digs, while Morgan McKnight added 14 kills. Ali Cox had 10 kills and 4.5 blocks, Catherine Chason had four aces and 21 digs, and Rachel Waldrop had 47 assists in the two matches.
Providence falls to Fellowship Christian, Kings Ridge
