Architect group selects library for stop on tour

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Georgia's largest professional association of architects will stop by a Gwinnett County library as part of its 2011 tour.

The American Institute of Architects Atlanta selected the Hamilton Mill branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library for its tour series stop on Saturday. Held between 2 and 5 p.m., the tour is intended to educate the public about the profession of architecture through guided tours of significant projects in the Atlanta area.

"We are honored to be part of the AIA tours and to have the opportunity to showcase our library to the architecture community," GCPL executive director Nancy Stanbery-Kellam said.
