Greater Atlanta Christian will induct 2011 graduate Malcolm Brogdon into its hall of fame at an 11:30 a.m. school assembly Friday at the Norcross private school. The event is at the Long Forum.
Brogdon also will have No. 22 jersey retired, which makes him eligible for immediate induction rather than facing a five-year waiting period after his high school graduation. GAC's hall of fame now has 27 members from official induction ceremonies in 1999, 2004 and 2009 and from special jersey retirement inductions for Brogdon and basketball player Sherill Baker (2002).
Brogdon led GAC to state championships his final two seasons, breaking school records for points in a season, field goals in a season, free throws made in a season and points per game average in a season (25.7). The Virginia basketball signee also established career marks for scoring average (23.1) and best 3-point field goal percentage (44.8).
