What happened: Todd Redmond turned in his third straight seven inning outing, allowing one run off of five hits picking up his fourth straight win. Wilkin Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, Stefan Gartrell upped his RBI total two 80 with a single to score Matt Young in the first, Brian McCann homered to lead the G-Braves offense. Mauro Gomez chipped in three hits, including a double, and scored a run. Stephen Shell pitched a perfect eight and Cory Gearrin earned his third save in four tries allowing one run in the ninth.
Stat of the day: Ruben Gotay tossed a ground ball hit to his right with his glove to shortstop Tyler Pastornicky who thew Ryan Lavarnaway out at first base to start the ninth.
Rehab watch: Brian McCann played five innings going 1-for-3 with a home run and two runners stole second on the catcher in his second rehab game with the G-Braves.
Pivotal moment: McCann's solo home run kicked off a two-run inning for the G-Braves in the fourth.
Web gem: Matt Young, playing left field, ran down a curving ball in foul territory up against the stands to retire Daniel Nava for the second out in the fourth inning.
Up next: LHP Yohan Flande (7-6, 3.76 ERA) gets the start today for the G-Braves against Pawtucket's RHP Matt Fox (7-4, 4.55 ERA).
