DULUTH — Jackson EMC presented a $15,000 check on Thursday to Rainbow Village, a local transitional housing program based in Duluth.
Randy Dellinger with Jackson EMC and Beauty Baldwin, a board of trustees member, presented the check to Nancy Yancey and Sandra Cathy with Rainbow Village. Said Cathy: “We are thrilled, and we are grateful.” The grant was funded through Jackson EMC’s Operation Round Up, a program that provides financial support to organizations and individuals within the 10 counties served by Jackson EMC. Cathy said the grant will be used as program support for the financial counseling component of Rainbow Village’s community based transitional housing program. Rainbow Village, Cathy said, is “a transitional housing program that provides housing and a full complement of life skills services for homeless families with children in the north metro Atlanta area.”More like this story
