COVINGTON -- A retired Gwinnett County Public Schools principal has taken a job with the Newton County School System,
Bill Kruskamp will serve as acting principal at Alcovy High School this academic year until Principal LaQuanda Carpenter returns from maternity leave.
Kruskamp retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools in May. Prior to his employment as principal at Creekland Middle School, he served as principal of Shiloh High School, where he was also a coach.
He is also an adjunct professor for educational leadership at the University of Georgia, where he's taught since 2005.
