DULUTH -- An elderly Duluth man is now facing vehicular manslaughter charges after police said he ran a red light at the end of July, striking another vehicle and killing its driver.
Kenneth Anson Price, 73, was arrested last week and charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and failure to obey a traffic device. According to reports from the Duluth Police Department, Price was driving his Chevrolet southbound on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at about 4 p.m. on July 26.
The victim, 55-year-old Cindy Dwyer of Suwanee, reportedly began turning left onto River Green Parkway from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. Price, who police believe had a red light, proceeded through the intersection and struck Dwyer's Honda CR-V.
The CR-V flipped and struck a third vehicle.
Warrants charging Price with second-degree vehicular homicide were issued Thursday, and jail records show he was arrested the following day before being released on $7,000 bond.
