The third time wasn’t quite the charm for the Georgia Force.
After two losses to Jacksonville earlier in the season, the Force lost again to the South Division champion Sharks 64-55 late Monday night in the American Conference Championship Game.
Jacksonville scored on every possession to earn its first trip to the Arena Bowl, scheduled for Friday night against the Arizona Rattlers, while the Force’s debut season ended a game short of their goal.
Georgia’s final record was 12-8.
Newly installed starting quarterback Darnell Kennedy completed 29 of 48 passes for 313 yards and eight touchdown passes in a losing effort and Maurice Purify led the Force with 13 catches for 153 yards and three TDs.
