The Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute has selected its class of 2012 candidates. GNLI recently selected 30 rising leaders from Gwinnett County to participate in eight months of training.
Participants come from all walks of life representing many diverse backgrounds and experiences, coming together with a common goal which to promote civic change within Gwinnett County. GNLI is a program of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services and is funded through Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department, Jackson EMC, Walton EMC and other community sponsors such as the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District.
The program is in its 17th year and is rapidly growing. During the eight-month program, participants are trained through a series of comprehensive workshops to address community issues and are required to develop community improvement projects based on the representing needs.
