LILBURN -- Gwinnett police and the FBI are seeking a man who robbed a Lilburn bank at gunpoint Friday morning.
According to police, a light-skinned black man armed with a handgun entered the Wells Fargo bank at 1028 Killian Hill Road at about 10:30 a.m. He then jumped the teller counter and obtained "an unknown amount of money," Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.
The suspect fled the scene in a burgundy Chevrolet Impala with body damage to the right rear fender, Smith said. The vehicle, believed to have a model year between 2000 and 2005, had Tennessee tags.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Gwinnett County robbery unit detectives will assist in the investigation led by the FBI, Smith said. Wells Fargo has offered a $5,000 reward for information in the case.
Anyone coming into contact with the suspect vehicle should call 911. Anyone with information is asked to call Gwinnett County police at 770-513-5300 or the FBI's Atlanta field office at 404-679-9000.
