Minnesota Lynx forward and Collins Hill grad Maya Moore was selected Tuesday as the WNBA's Rookie of the Month for July.
Moore led all rookies in scoring (13.0), steals (1.6) and minutes (29.4) last month and ranked second in rebounds (4.4) and assists (3.6). She ranked among the league's top 20 players overall for July in both scoring and assists.
The 6-foot Moore had a career-high 26 points on 6 of 9 shooting from 3-point range in a July 9 win over Connecticut and scored in double figures five times in Minnesota's eight July games. The Lynx had a league-best 7-1 record during that span.
