Even amongst hardcore Coen brothers fans "The Big Lebowski" is highly divisive. Some love it, others hate it and others simply pretend it doesn't exist. Released on the heels of the multiple Oscar-winning "Fargo," it's a surreal comedy that is equal parts hippie manifesto, crime caper and skewed love story. Coen mainstays Steve Buscemi and John Goodman along with Julianne Moore offer stellar support for lead Jeff Bridges, aka The Dude, a clueless, bathrobe-wearing, oddly endearing cosmic prophet.
