WINDER -- A Winder woman whom authorities say was slain by her husband last week is scheduled to be buried Tuesday afternoon, as a memorial fund for her four children is established.
A funeral for Tonya Lynn, 38, is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Winder's Smith Memory Chapel. She's to be interred at Apalachee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to "The Children of Tonya Lynn" and sent to 1958 Crowe Road, Dacula 30018. Lynn's three sons and daughter range in age from 7 to 14.
Barrow County authorities on Saturday charged Lynn's husband, James Lynn, 43, with murder after discovering her body at the bottom of a well near the Gwinnett County line.
Family members had reported Tonya Lynn missing Wednesday. No cause of death has been released.
No court appearances for James Lynn had been scheduled Monday. According to the Barrow County Detention Center, he's charged with murder, felony murder, battery family violence and obstruction of an officer.
Police recovered the body from a well off Etheridge Road in Auburn. Records that include a domestic battery arrest for James Lynn show the couple had a tumultuous relationship.
Authorities have not said what led them to the well.
