DULUTH -- Tracy Lawrence, the Atlanta-born country music star whose career has spanned 16 years, is playing Wild Bill's tonight. With 17 No. 1 singles to his name, Lawrence keeps his music fresh, relevant and from-the-heart.
"You can't separate Tracy Lawrence the person from the music of Tracy Lawrence," he said. "It's all part of my fiber, who I am."
With several popular hits, such as "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" and "Paint Me a Birmingham," Lawrence's music appeals to young adults as well as more seasoned country fans. "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" was No. 1 on the charts in June 2007, spending 41 weeks on the charts up until that point. "Paint Me a Birmingham" still stands as one of the most requested singles to date.
Lawrence resides in Tennessee with his wife Becca and two daughters, Skylar JoAnn and Mary Keagan. He founded the successful label Rocky Comfort Records in 2006, and he is also well known for his charitable work and tireless fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis and Alzheimer's disease research and cures. The singer plays about 100 shows per year.
Lawrence's performance at Wild Bill's is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. today. Tickets range in price from $15 to $100, plus applicable fees, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com, or at any Ticketmaster retail outlet.
