Ernest Audrey Sorrow

Ernest Audrey Sorrow - April 25, 1926 - April 25, 2011: On his birthday, our Hero (our Father), our Mother's husband and best friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to reunite with his family and friends who have gone before him. Ernie was a Korean conflict and WWII veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star. He retired from E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. in Tucker, GA in 1981. Ernie was the greatest Husband, Father, and Friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, our Mother, Mattieleen Williams Sorrow of Tucker, GA; 4 children, Benny Sorrow and his wife Carol of Norcross, GA, Phil Sorrow of Tucker, GA, Melanie Sorrow of Lawrenceville, GA, and Tammy Sorrow Wallace of Palm Harbor, FL; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Sorrow Glenn and her husband Andy, Chad Sorrow, James Sorrow and John Sorrow; 2 great grandchildren, AJ Glenn and Audrey Nadine Glenn. To Dad, we will all miss your smile and your unconditional love and the support you provided us for so long. We are so grateful to have had you in all of our lives. Your memory as well as those we made together with you will live forever in our Hearts. Rest well, until we meet again - Godspeed. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Dr. Richard Lee and Rev. Mike Schmid officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dacula. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. (770) 564-2726
