LAWRENCEVILLE — A missing 23-year-old Lilburn man whose body was found Sunday beside the Yellow River died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office authorities have found.
Police and fire department searchers on Sunday morning found the body of Phillip Gabilondo on the river bank behind a Lawrenceville home in the 3500 block of Vinyard Way. He’d been reported missing April 16, after vanishing a week prior. Gabilondo’s father told police his son had been depressed since his medical discharge from the United States Marine Corps last year.More like this story
