NORCROSS — A Norcross man told police two masked men held him up and took $3,300 in cash he’d withdrawn from a DeKalb County bank.
The alleged stick-up happened about 11:40 p.m. Thursday at the Oakwood Vista Apartments on Jimmy Carter Boulevard near Norcross.
The 22-year-old man told police he was checking his mail when two masked men in black hoodies approached and pointed pistols at his head, demanding “everything you got,” according to a Gwinnett police report.
The victim told police he divvied $3,300 in half and handed it over. The men ran off toward the complex pool, the report states.
According to the victim, he’d withdrawn the cash from a Wells Fargo Bank in DeKalb County and made several stops before returning home.
“The victim stated that it was unlikely that anyone would know he had such a large amount of cash on his person,” an officer wrote in the report.
The officer noted a scratch on the man’s face where one of the pistols was reportedly pressed against his head. The victim could not provide further identifying information.
