DULUTH — An upgrade to a major downtown Duluth street began last week.
West Lawrenceville Street will be a construction zone for the next two months, as crews install new five-foot-wide sidewalks on both sides of the street. The project also includes resurfacing and restriping the asphalt roadway, a city email said.
Officials are urging people to use caution “and a little extra patience” on the thoroughfare during the construction, which is expected to wrap up by June 30.
More information about the streetscape project, which is funded through the local one percent sales tax program, can be found through the city’s Planning and Development Department at 770-476-1790.
