The Region 8-AAAAA boys soccer coaches have selected an all-region boys soccer team, which they released Tuesday.
Headlining the all-region team were two Brookwood players, defender of the year Cameron Grassmyer and forward of the year Adrian Alabi. The other two top individual awards went to Parkview’s Jack Falle as goalkeeper of the year and Berkmar’s Jose Salmeron as midfielder of the year. Berkmar’s Tracy Crouch was voted as the 8-AAAAA boys coach of the year. Central’s Charlie DeLoatche joined Falle on the all-region list at goalkeeper, while the other defenders were Brookwood’s Hares Husseini, Berkmar’s Kwado Twumasi, Dacula’s Davian McEwan and Shiloh’s Ashton Maycock. Salmeron was joined in the all-region midfield by Dacula’s Michael Kanu, Parkview’s Santiago Gubitosi, Brookwood’s Brahan Gamarra, Parkview’s Abel Nguyen, Dacula’s Mason Davenport and Shiloh’s Julio Quintanilla.
