Grayson resident wins $264,955 in Ga. Lottery

GRAYSON — Gerald DiFatta played the lottery on his 65th birthday, winning just $3. Three days later, the Grayson resident tried again and won more than a quarter-million dollars, Georgia Lottery officials announced Friday.

DiFatta almost didn’t buy the Quik Pik Fantasy 5 ticket that day, the one that earned him $264,955 in Tuesday’s drawing.

“I went past the store and turned around to get a ticket,” he told lottery officials.

DiFatta purchased the winning ticket at a Shell store in Monroe. His winning numbers were 2-10-17-20-27.
