Corene Clark, age 92, of Lilburn, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Mrs. Susan Rumble officiating. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church of Lilburn Cemetery. A native of Lilburn, Mrs. Clark was a devoted homemaker that loved and cared for her family. Everyone loved her southern cooking, especially her homemade biscuits. Corene loved making handmade gifts for family and friends. One of these gifts was a cross bookmark that included a poem, "The Cross In My Pocket". This was Corene's way of witnessing to others and spreading her love for the Lord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn since 1945 where she was an active member of Women on Missions. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George Clark; her brothers, Ralph and Raymond Haney; and her grandson, Tony Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Joette Segars of Lilburn; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Wanda Clark of Lilburn; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Frances Haney of Newnan; grandchildren, Connie (Calvin) Cannon of Lilburn, Donna Orr (Bill Adams) of Gillsville, Tammy (Steve) Bock of Lilburn, Wesley Segars of Lilburn, Bobby Clark of South Carolina, and Eric Clark of Panama City, FL; 6 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Flowers will be accepted or you may make a memorial contribution to First Baptist Church of Lilburn, c/o Women on Missions, 285 Church Street, Lilburn, GA 30047.
