JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Duluth starter Zach Erwin pitched five strong innings while Chris Rich recorded his first save as the Wildcats held off Trinity Christian Academy 5-4 on Tuesday night.
Erwin allowed two earned runs in five innings with eight strikeouts as his record improved to 6-2.
Tommy Matton had a hit and two RBIs to lead the offense for Duluth (10-5), while Noah Hoback had two hits with an RBI.
Buford 6, Maynard Jackson 3
ATLANTA -- Buford downed Maynard Jackson 6-3 on Tuesday in Region 6-AA.
Avery Labuz went 51/3 innings for the win, giving up one earned run with six strikeouts, while the save went to Josh Bryan, who delivered 12/3 scoreless and hitless innings with two strikeouts.
Bryan also went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Buford (15-2, 9-0), while Nic Dlugasch (2-for-4, RBI) and Shawn Reynolds (hit, RBI) each helped on offense.
GAC 16, Therrell 6
NORCROSS -- Greater Atlanta Christian improved to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in Region 6-AA on Tuesday with a 16-6 win over Therrell in five innings.
John LaMay went 2-for-3 with a double for GAC. Robby McPherson was the winning pitcher.
Wesleyan 9, Pace 3
NORCROSS -- Drew Widner collected three hits on Tuesday, including his ninth homer, and drove in two runs as Wesleyan topped Pace 9-3 in Region 5-A.
Gardner Heaner and Joseph Sheffield each added two hits as Wesleyan improved to 12-5 overall and 7-1 in the region.
Sheldon Connor picked up the win in relief, putting in 42/3 innings work with one run and six strikeouts.
Hebron 12, Prince Ave. 2
DACULA -- Hebron (19-1, 14-0) needed just five innings to post a 12-2 win over Prince Avenue on Tuesday in Region 8-A.
Jordan Hillyer had two doubles and three RBIs to lead the offense and also picked up the win on the mound, going four innings with 11 strikeouts and one earned run.
Danny Lockhart finished 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Robby Stephens (double, RBI) and Lew Stephens each recorded their first varsity hit.
Holy Innocents' 10, Providence 8
LILBURN -- Holy Innocents' snapped Providence's eight-game winning streak with a 10-8 win over the Stars on Tuesday in Region 5-A.
The loss went to Alan Skinner, who went five innings and allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks with five strikeouts.
Tyler Brown went 4-for-4 for the Stars (12-7, 8-1), with a double and two runs, while Austin Smith had a double with two RBIs. Nick Stidham went 2-for-3 with a doubles and two RBIs, while Christin Stewart was 1-for-2 with a 2-run homer and three runs scored.
Mill Creek 2, Meadowcreek 1
HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek received two goals from Kenny Valencia on Tuesday night as the Hawks (10-4-1, 3-1) got past Meadowcreek 2-1 in Region 7-AAAAA. Valencia's goals were assisted by Mac Sinclair and Taylor Scalera.
Peachtree Ridge 5, Duluth 1
DULUTH -- Chris Cook of Peachtree Ridge scored two goals on Tuesday to help give the Lions (13-2, 4-2) a 5-1 win over Duluth in Region 7-AAAAA.
Michael Valenzuela, Derek Bryant and Jeremy Rector each added one goal, while Mitch Kupstas and Daryl Sack shared time at keeper with seven saves.

DACULA -- Josh Legg had a hat trick Tuesday night as part of Dacula's 8-0 rout over Rockdale. Joe Efford and Ado Junuzovic each added a pair of goals for Dacula (7-4-1, 5-1) with Michael Kanu scoring one.

LILBURN -- Berkmar upped its record to 12-1-1 on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Campbell in a non-region game. The game's lone goal came from Martin Lugo.

SUWANEE -- Four North Gwinnett players scored on Tuesday night as the Bulldogs defeated Mountain View 4-1 in Region 7-AAAAA.

LILBURN -- Providence scored two goals in each half on Tuesday en route to a 4-0 win over Wesleyan in Region 4-A.
Caleb McQuaig scored two of those goals for the top-ranked Stars (12-4, 9-1), while Tedd Perry and Matt McGlamery each added one. Brent Hansen helped with three assists, while Evan Flowers earned the shutout at keeper.
Hebron 7, Holy Innocents' 0
ATLANTA -- Josh Manga booted in three goals Tuesday night in helping Hebron defeat Holy Innocents' 7-0.
Ryan Notheis scored twice with Chris Austin and Rhett McCombs each scoring once.
Kevin Sharpton and Andrew Thompson each had two assists, while keeper John Foley had seven saves in the shutout. Hebron improved to 11-2-2.

SUWANEE -- Mariah Dickey of Collins Hill scored off a feed from Lindsay Leonardo with about 12 minutes left to play Tuesday night to give the Eagles a 1-0 win over Norcross in Region 7-AAAAA.
Calli Star saved five shots at keeper for the Eagles (10-5, 5-1), who will face Mill Creek on Friday to decide the region champion.

HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek stayed unbeaten in Region 7-AAAAA at 4-0 on Tuesday with a 10-0 defeat of Meadowcreek on Tuesday.
Leading Mill Creek (13-1 overall) with three goals was Torie Scalera, while Lindsay Kempf scored two. Adding one goal each were Tessa Lukens, Jessica Hall, Lauren Tanner, Cari Powell and Courtney Dobeck.
Peachtree Ridge 3, Duluth 2
DULUTH -- Peachtree Ridge outdueled Duluth in penalty kicks 4-3 on Tuesday night for a 3-2 win over the Wildcats in Region 7-AAAAA.
Scoring in regulation for the Lions (9-8, 4-2) were Emily Edmond and Shelby Jennings, while Baillie Burmaster, Katie Fitton, Allana Dineen and Julianna Luther provided the goals during the PKs.

Gentry leads Hebron
DACULA -- Hebron's Darby Gentry shot a 37 on Tuesday at Trophy Club of Apalachee as the Lions topped Prince Avenue 37 to 56. One of the golfers for Prince Avenue had to withdraw from competition during the match due to injury.
Norcross gets past Mill Creek
JOHNS CREEK -- Jason Mendel shot a 38 and Clay Trocchio a 40 on Tuesday in helping Norcross defeat Mill Creek 164 to 175 at Standard Club.
Dylan Tence was low man for Mill Creek with 43.
Shiloh downs Central
SNELLVILLE -- Tommy Blackwell of Shiloh earned low-medalist honors with a 44 on Tuesday as the Comets defeated Central Gwinnett 196 to 247 at Country Club of Gwinnett.
Jason Tarpley added a 45 for the Comets.
Buford edges Stephens Co.
BUFORD -- Buford held on for a 174 to 176 win over Stephens County on Tuesday at Legacy on Lanier.

SUWANEE -- Michael Ruffcorn had a big night with six goals and three assists on Tuesday as Peachtree Ridge routed Duluth 17-2.
Cory Hall and Tyler Botts had three goals each for the Lions (9-2), while Steven Lee finished with two goals and two assists. Keeper Greg Rose had two saves.
Grayson 17, Parkview 3
LOGANVILLE -- Grayson keeper Josh Parris had 13 saves Tuesday night as the Rams defeated Parkview 17-3.
Leading Grayson (7-5) with three goals and an assist was Ben Mertz, while Garrett Gorsky, Brett Miller, Tyler Fitch and Brandon Kelly each scored two goals.

NORCROSS -- Jake Neill put in five goals and assisted three more on Tuesday as Greater Atlanta Christian downed Brookwood 16-2.

NORCROSS -- Meghan Greathouse had six goals and two assists on Tuesday to propel Greater Atlanta Christian 15-7 over Brookwood.
Lyndsey Kytle added three goals and two assists, while Kayla Jolly chipped in with two goals. Keeper Missy Roughgarden earned the win for GAC (5-9).
Brookwood (2-8) received two goals each from Paige Miller and Jackie Lastinger and one goal each from Nikki Ghimire, Lauren Clay and Kat Tak. Keeper Jasmine Thomas finished with six saves, while Courtney Ross had five.
Broncos breeze into finals
LAWERNCEVILLE -- Brookwood posted 4-0 sweeps over South Gwinnett and Central Gwinnett on Tuesday at Rhodes Jordan Park, putting the Broncos in the Region 8-AAAA finals.
Singles winners in both matches were Randy Phillips at No. 1 and Mark Guentert at No. 2. Doubles winners in the South match were Drew Wendel and Rahul Sharma at No. 1 and Brandon Mills and Amarin Montroy at No. 2.
Against Central, Matt Jones paired with Jody Chan at No. 1 doubles with David Brown teaming with Christian Gochmauer at No. 2.
The region finals will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Rhodes Jordan Park between Brookwood and Parkview.

SNELLVILLE -- Mark Guentert, Matt Jones and Drew Wendel won their singles matches to help Brookwood to a 4-1 win over Starr's Mill on Monday.

Parkview rolls with sweeps
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Parkview will have a chance to win the Region 8-AAAAA tournament against its biggest rival Brookwood today at 3:30 p.m. at Rhodes Jordan Park after the Panthers swept both Berkmar and Dacula 3-0 on Tuesday.
Against Berkmar, Matt Roberts and Takuto Osawa won at No. 1 doubles, while John Benken and Hunter Stroud took the No. 2 match. Sunny Tran also won at No. 3 singles.
Roberts and Osawa won again in doubles play against Grayson, as did the team of Tim Levengood and Patrick Massey. Luke McDonald also helped with a No. 1 singles win.
Dacula reaches state tourney
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Dacula qualified for the Class AAAAA state tournament with a 3-1 win over Archer in the Region 7-AAAAA tournament Tuesday at Rhodes Jordan Park.
Winners for the Falcons were No. 2 singles Caleb Barth, No. 1 doubles Joel Salazar and David Anderson and No. 2 singles Zak Germaine and Spencer Richardson. Dacula will face Central Gwinnett today for third place.
Buford 5, North Hall 0
BUFORD -- Colby West, Rob Hunter and Michael Becker won their singles matches as Buford swept North Hall 5-0 on Monday.
Matthew Gates and Nicholas Becker won at No. 1 doubles, while Alex Turner and Skyler Wilson at No. 2 for the Wolves (13-5).
Wesleyan strong in tourney
ATLANTA -- Wesleyan's Region 5-A tournament got off to a good start Tuesday as the Wolves defeated Galloway 4-0 and Holy Innocents' 3-0 at Blackburn Park. The two wins secured a berth in the region finals, to be played today at Pace.
Winners in the Galloway match were Norman Chang, Jeffrey Chang and Palmer Brasher in singles play with Zach Taylor and Andrew Dorman winning at No. 2 doubles.
Taylor and Dorman posted another win against Holy Innocents', as did Jeffrey Chang. The Wolves also got a win at No. 1 doubles from Brooks Prettyman and Ryan McClanahan.
Lovett 4, Wesleyan 1
NORCROSS -- Wesleyan finished the regular season with a 4-1 loss to Lovett on Monday. The Wolves' (10-5) only win came from Zach Taylor and Andrew Dorman at No. 2 doubles.
Providence 4, Fellowship 1
SUWANEE -- Providence defeated Fellowship 4-1 in the Region 5-A tournament on Monday. The Stars (7-8) got singles wins from John North and Mike Moye at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Clayton Cheek and Brent Kicklighter won at No. 1 doubles and David Chi and Michael Turner at No. 2 doubles.
Hebron advances to finals
ATHENS -- Hebron won both its matches in the Region 8-A tournament on Monday, defeating Tallulah Falls 3-0 and Lakeview 3-0.
The Lions (10-1) got singles wins from Jerod and Josh Beck against Tallulah Falls, while Kyle Donatucci and Cole Maness won at No. 1 doubles.
Wes Mendoza and Jarod Back won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, while Jack Griffin and Paul Stinespring won at No. 2 doubles.
Brookwood cruises to finals
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Brookwood swept both South Gwinnett and Dacula on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Region 8-AAAAA tournament at Rhodes Jordan Park.
Winners in the 4-0 match over South were No. 1 singles Leah Pridgeon, No. 2 singles Gabbie Griffith, the No. 1 doubles team of Molly McClintock and Katie Hedlund and the No. 2 doubles pair of Emily Gray and Liz Slaughter.
In the 3-0 win over Dacula, Griffith took the No. 2 singles match with McClintock and Hedlund winning again at No. 1 doubles. Rebecca Norton completed the sweep with a No. 3 singles win.
The Broncos will play Parkview today at 3:30 p.m. at Rhodes Jordan in the finals.
Brookwood 3, Starr's Mill 2
SNELLVILLE -- Leah Pridgeon won at No. 1 singles and Rebecca Norton at No. 3 singles to lift Brookwood past Starr's Mill 3-2 on Monday. Sheridan Schuster and Liz Slaughter won at No. 2 doubles for the Broncos (12-4, 8-0).
Parkview sweeps its way to region finals
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Parkview posted a pair of 3-0 wins on Tuesday over Shiloh and Grayson to reach the finals of the Region 8-AAAAA tournament at Rhodes Jordan Park. The Panthers will play Brookwood today at 3:30 p.m. at Rhodes Jordan for the title.
Winning in the Shiloh match were No. 1 singles Taylor Ballard, No. 2 singles Kristin Miller and No. 1 doubles Daron Blankenship and Maddie Carswell.
Blankenship paired with Mill at No. 2 doubles in the win over Grayson, while the No. 1 doubles match went to Amanda Bantug and Megan Nelms with Cara Motz taking the No. 1 singles match.
Hawks reach 7-AAAAA finals
HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek earned a spot in the Region 7-AAAAA finals Tuesday afternoon with wins over Duluth and Norcross at Hamilton Mill. The Hawks will face Peachtree Ridge Thursday at Hamilton Mill for the region crown at 9:30 a.m.
Michelle Yau won at No. 2 singles with Mallory Kolts taking the No. 3 singles match in the Hawks 3-0 win over Duluth. Nela Handac and Allison Weaver added a No. 1 doubles win.
Handac and Weaver were victorious again, along with Yau, as the Hawks defeated Norcross 3-1. The third point came from a No. 2 doubles win by Kailey Stevens and Lauren Atkinson.
Peachtree Ridge wins two
HOSCTHON -- Peachtree Ridge knocked off both Meadowcreek and Collins Hill 3-0 on Tuesday to put itself in the Region 7-AAAAA finals. The Lions will take on Mill Creek 9 a.m. on Thursday at Hamilton Mill for the region title.
Jessica Northcutt won at No. 1 singles in both matches, while Ali Mills and Abby Owens won at No. 1 doubles in both matches. Mary Jeremiah won at No. 2 singles against Meadowcreek, while Jena Kelly took the No. 3 singles match against Collins Hill.
Collins Hill ousts North, falls to Lions
HOSCHTON -- Collins Hill edged North Gwinnett 3-2 in the second round of the Region 7-AAAAA tournament but fell in the next round to Peachtree Ridge 3-0.
Winners in the North match for the Eagles were Jillian Estes at No. 2 singles and Abbie Wehr at No. 3 singles, while Cassie Owensby and Maddie Owensby won at No. 2 doubles.
Winners for North were Shannon Bettiol at No. 1 singles and Izzy Balsvage and Chelsea Koch at No. 1 doubles.
Buford 5, North Hall 0
BUFORD -- Buford picked up wins from its singles players Kelley Cohron, Jancy Burge and Kathryn Bradshaw as it defeated North Hall 5-0 on Monday.
Cortland West and Michelle Hanley won at No. 1 doubles and Abby Hundley and Jessica Thompson at No. 2 doubles for the Wolves (11-7).
Wesleyan qualifies for state
ATLANTA -- Wesleyan qualified for the Class A state tournament with a 3-0 win over Holy Innocents' in the Region 5-A tournament at Blackburn Park.
Winners for the Wolves were Caroline Nelson at No. 2 singles, Sarah Settlage at No. 3 singles and Julie Rodriguez and Sally Robertson at No. 1 doubles.
Wesleyan then faced Lovett in the region semifinals and fell 3-1, getting its only win at No. 1 singles from Megan Kelly. The Wolves will play today for the region's third seed.

NORCROSS -- Megan Kelly won at No. 1 singles and Sally Robertson and Julie Rodriguez at No. 2 doubles in Wesleyan's 3-2 loss to Lovett on Monday.

SUWANEE -- Providence defeated King's Ridge 5-0 in the first round of the Region 5-A tournament on Monday. The Stars (14-4) got singles wins from Vani Crist, Christy North and Madison DeMoss. Emma Crist and Robin Ferris won at No. 1 doubles, while Alex Schlesener and Abby Mazza won at No. 2 doubles.

Mill Creek wins quad-meet
HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek's teams swept a quad-meet Monday at home against Dacula, Apalachee and Winder-Barrow.
The Hawks edged runner-up Dacula 61-52 in the girls competition, while winning the boys competition handily over runner-up Apalachee, 119.5-24.
Mill Creek got boys event wins from Jordan Marshall (100-meter run, 11.07 seconds), Zack Davis (200, 22.55 and 400, 52.25), Austin Boetje (800, 2:04.87 and 1,600, 4:26.22), Eric Westog (3,200, 10:18.38), Macky McLee (110 hurdles, 15.56, 300 hurdles, 41.06 and high jump, 6-2), Mason Sheats (pole vault, 13-2) and Tyler Cierski (shot put, 49-31/2 and discus, 145-9).
The girls first-place finishers from Mill Creek were Lauren Scott (1,600, 5:32.96), Shanon Jordan (300 hurdles, 50.27) and Chinenyenwa Okoye (discus, 115-3).
Dacula's event winners were Shania Norman (100, 12.85), Nichelle Irish (400, 1:05.17), Anazjah Mayes (800, 2:35.17), Haley Nagle (pole vault, 8-6) and Anna Machovec (shot put, 37-0).
Other athletes placing first were Apalachee's Dennia Ernest (200, 26.71 and high jump, 5-3), Constance Martin (triple jump, 32-1 1/2) and Jermaine Smith (long jump, 21-0 and triple jump, 41-6), along with Winder-Barrow's Amanda Cope (3,200, 12:12.87), Ja'Lesia Jackson (100 hurdles, 16.36) and Brittany Witt (long jump, 15-7).
