Mr. Howard Samuel Harper, age 76, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Harper; mother, Willie Mae Cleghorn; brothers, Charles Harper Sr. and Kenneth Harper; and sister, Laverne Chadwick. He is survived by his nieces, Nancy and Amos Clark Jr., Hoschton, GA, Linda Stewart, Lawrenceville, GA and Joy and Russell Starrett, Lavonia, GA; nephew, Charles William Harper, Jr. and wife, Barbara, Buford, GA; niece, Ann and Hugh Hamil, Gainesville, GA; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Mr. Harper was born July 27, 1934 and was a native of Gwinnett County, GA. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Ash officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
