Hazel Tucker

Ms. Hazel Jones Tucker, of Flowery Branch, went home to be with her Heavenly Father early Tuesday morning, September 28, 2010. She passed peacefully during the night. She was lovingly known by her family as Nana. She was born on July 8, 1931 in Lawrence County, TN. She was married to her late husband, Henry Odell Tucker, on December 14, 1946. Together they served numerous communities throughout the southeast preaching the message of Christ, revealing His love for humanity and serving others. In addition, they also operated their own dry cleaning business in Chattanooga, TN until their retirement in 1987. Hazel is preceded in passing by her faithful husband of 63 years, Rev. Henry O. Tucker, and parents, Nola C. Straight and Charles E. Jones. Hazel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Charlie Kinamon; grandson, Charles Kinamon; granddaughter and future grandson-in-law, Kristen Kinamon and Jason Ellis; her brothers, Chuck and Kay Jones of Seattle, Washington, Kenneth and Marilyn Jones of Harrison, Arkansas; her sister, Patsy and Wayne Sisk of Bel Air, Maryland; several nieces and nephews and many beloved friends. Hazel was a dedicated member of North Metro First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10 am at North Metro First Baptist Church with Dr. Frank Cox and Rev. Bobby Linkous officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park South Cemetery in Flowery Branch, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Metro First Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Hazel Jones Tucker.
