SNELLVILLE — With October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month quickly approaching, Emory Eastside Medical Center will host its first-ever women’s cancer symposium tonight.
Focusing on “Orchestrating Breast Cancer Care,” the presentation will include a number of exhibits and discussions led by Eastside specialists all along the spectrum of breast cancer care, including radiologists, pathologists, breast and plastic surgeons and oncologists. Discussion topics led by Emory Eastside physicians will include: diagnosis through radiology and pathology, treatment through surgery and treatment through radiation and medical oncology. The event will be held at the Eastside Physicians Plaza adjacent to the hospital at 1800 Tree Lane Road, Suite 270. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., with a buffet dinner offered at 5:30.
