Gwinnett Daily Post
Partnership Gwinnett was recently recognized as one of three finalists for the Georgia Economic Developers Association's Deal of the Year award.
At its annual conference, GEDA recognized the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce-led partnership for its work on the Web Industries expansion project in February. That project includes projected job growth in the hundreds over the next several years and an immediate $6 million in capital.
"Gwinnett is extremely honored to be named a finalist in this awards program," Gwinnett Commission Chairman Charles Bannister said in a statement. "Being recognized for achievement is a sign that you're on the right track, and GEDA's recognition of our economic development efforts in Gwinnett is an affirmation that we are on the right path."
Gwinnett was selected as a finalist in the Urban Deal of the Year category for its oustanding achievement in the location or expansion of new businesses in the state of Georgia.
