LETTERS: D'Souza's writing rational despite what Parker says

Kathleen Parker has once again used her cutesy style of writing to besmirch the character of a “rational conservative thinker.” This time it’s Dinesh D’Souza.

D’Souza’s article in Forbes Magazine is not a theory; however, it is completely rational. It is based on words written by Barack Obama himself in “Dreams From My Father.” I read the book as well as the D’Souza article, and I find that Parker has mischaracterized it. Obviously, she has not read Obama’s book.

She states that we shouldn’t be “rooting around in ancient histories.” If we don’t know history, we are doomed to repeat it. The history of countries and individuals plays a part in the formation of who both are today.

It appears that Parker prefers to align herself with a known philanderer — Eliot Spitzer — rather than a rational, conservative thinker such as Dinesh D’Souza. She doesn’t need two psychiatrists to understand Obama. All she has to do is read his books. Perhaps she is trying to promote her show. Rational, conservative thinkers won’t be watching!
