Mr. John E. "Jack" Rowley, Sr., age 67, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Barbara Ann Rowley, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Robin Green, Decatur, GA; son and his partner, Jack Rowley and Robert Marshall, Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Madeline Green, Decatur, GA; sisters-in-law, Jean Cartier, Bacliff, TX and Charlotte Fletcher, Chestfield, NJ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, J. Edward and Christine Talbot, Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Donald and Joan Talbot, Culleoka, TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Rowley was born May 31, 1943 in Trenton, NJ. He was a 1960 graduate of Steinert High School in Hamilton, NJ and he attended Trenton Junior College. He was a U. S. veteran of the Marine Corps and the Reserves for seventeen years. He was a member of the Marine Corps League in Trenton, NJ and was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He was a retired field service engineer from Ahlstrom in Roswell, GA. He served as a Boy Scout Troop Leader. He was a member of the Prince Of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, GA. He enjoyed bowling and riding his motorcycle. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince Of Peace Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association or the American Cancer Society in memory of Jack Rowley.
